One of the co-founders of Educational Programmes Abroad in 1972, Terence is a graduate of the London School of Economics and Sussex University. He was responsible for setting up the very first internship program for US students in the UK in 1975. Terence has overseen the expansion of EPA into other European centers, and is more convinced than ever of the importance of helping US students gain international experience.

Hartwig has been with EPA since 1988. Having served as director of several US study abroad programs in Germany and being recognized by the US State Department for his outstanding support of German-American youth exchange programs, Hartwig brings a wealth of experience to our endeavors. As EPA's German Programs Director, Hartwig manages our internship programs in Bonn, Cologne, and Berlin. Hartwig holds a Master's degree from Washington University in St Louis.

A dedicated study abroad professional, Lisa is proud of her part in connecting EPA students with transformative internship opportunities in Europe. She is the key liaison between the US and Europe and believes that building trusting relationships is the key to a successful program. Lisa earned her Bachelor's degree at the University of Illinois and her Master's degree at the St. Louis Conservatory.
Brussels Program Director
Alex has a Ph.D. in Classics from the University of Exeter. He was Head of Department at the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, and taught at UCLA, Oregon Health and Sciences University (OHSU), Reed College, and Willamette University. For the last ten years, Alex has lived and worked in Brussels at different European institutions. In his spare time, he is a keen amateur musician, swimmer, and water polo player. Alex uses his wide international experience and community involvement to encourage US study abroad students to develop their own independence, curiosity, and resilience.
Edinburgh Program Director
Nancy Lynner is an American living in Edinburgh, who has a Master's in Education from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN, with a BA degree in English and Theatre from Cornell College, Iowa. She lived in Washington D.C. for many years, working for the Smithsonian Institution and other arts organizations, after managing an event management company with her husband. An arts and culture enthusiast, she is exuberant about her adopted city, Edinburgh. Nancy uses her networking and administrative skills, and her unflagging energy to create an internship experience that unfolds into a life-changing semester abroad.
Edinburgh Associate Program Director
Donna Nodson' has 20+ years of experience cultivating business relationships, beneficial when seeking new internship opportunities for EPA students. She has lived and worked both in the United States and Scotland, as well as Canada, England and Germany. Her global experience is complemented by an MBA from Babson College where she has served as part of the NYC Alumni Board and has been instrumental in developing new opportunities for the Babson alumni community.
London Program Director
Joe is a graduate and Honorary Professor of Advertising and Promotions from Michigan State University. He is currently completing his Master’s in marketing communications at the University of London. Joe’s successful career as a global creative director took him from Chicago to Hong Kong and Southeast Asia and finally to Europe and the United Kingdom. After guest lecturing for many years, he turned his sights firmly to teaching in 2008, and then programme administration in 2016. Although a US Citizen, Joe has lived in the UK for 30 years.
London Program Director
Ensuring the smooth running of EPA's London program is Andrea Morris. Andrea is from South Africa, where she studied Social Science at the University of Cape Town. Afterwards, she came to London for her post-graduate studies and since then has held a number of positions, both in teaching and educational administration. Andrea has worked with several US study abroad programs. She excels at helping students gain the maximum benefit from their internship experience.
Madrid Program Director
Rocio Bartolome Rodriguez
Rocio has a PhD in Spanish Language Teacher Education from Universidad Complutense de Madrid. She has taught at the University of Salamanca and James Madison University, Virginia and was a visiting Research Associate at Queen Mary University of London. She understands what is needed to help US students get the most from their internship and study at a foreign university.
