Educational Programs Abroad, EPA Internships
Should you be encouraging your students to take part in an overseas internship program? The subject raises important questions.

Will the standard of academic work required be comparable to that of your institution?

What sort of internships do we provide? How can you be confident that students will be sufficiently challenged and their achievements assessed appropriately? What quality control measures are in place?

What is the quality of the instruction? What sort of internships are offered?

With Educational Programmes Abroad (EPA) you can be confident of the answers to all of these questions.2 Internees share a joke
High academic standards
In all of our European centers, academic courses are taught at local universities and taught by highly qualified lecturers. Class sizes are small and everyone receives individual attention.

Should you wish, we will provide full details of courses and resumes of the teaching faculty. At the end of the internship, we will send you your students’ grades in order for you to award credit. We are also happy to set up special internship programs for your institution.

Depth of experience
Educational Programmes Abroad (EPA) has been running internship programs in Western Europe since 1976 – longer than any other organization. The goodwill and trust we have built up has contributed to our success in the face of ever-increasing competition.

Quality placements
Our first group interned in the British House of Commons. That was nearly thirty years ago, and since those pioneering days we have expanded both the range and location of the placements. We currently have programs in London, Edinburgh, Madrid, Brussels, Bonn/Cologne and Berlin. Placements are made according to the student’s major and his or her interests.

"At Reader’s Digest, my duties as a Research Editor included doing research on different topics being considered for main articles. I was also responsible for short articles in the RD Living section of the magazine. I had expected something good, but my internship opportunity was something truly amazing."
Stephanie Stupic, Juniata College, London, Fall 2005

This is just one of the many unsolicited testimonials we receive every year. A semester abroad with EPA is very often a life-changing experience, providing students with new skills, experience, contacts and lifelong memories.
