Educational Programs Abroad, EPA Internships

AFFILIATION

Partner with EPA
Why send your students on another institution’s programs when you could offer your own?  All it takes is to become an Affiliate or Partner of the most experienced provider of internships abroad – Educational Programmes Abroad (EPA).

International internships are a huge value-add
Having a strong international component in the curriculum has become increasingly important for American universities and colleges.

Students themselves are demanding it too – they’re increasingly aware of the advantage of having international internship experience listed on their resumes.

But setting up a serious and credit-worthy college-level internship program requires time and money. And organising internships overseas presents a whole range of challenges and potential problems. Many institutions are realizing the ease and rewards of partnering with a specialist internship provider such as EPA.

Why choose EPA?
EPA (Educational Programmes Abroad) was the first organization to offer pre-professional overseas internships for American undergraduates. Since 1976 we have placed students in internships in European cities from London to Berlin.  In addition to our wide range of excellent internships and our rigorous academic courses, we provide a strong support system for our students.

As a private service provider, we are not an accredited institution and therefore the academic credit for our programs must be awarded by one of our sponsoring institutions or from the individual colleges or universities sending their own students.  Why not join with us as an Affiliate or a Partner and begin offering quality overseas internships in a structured and supportive environment to your students.

Affiliation: what it involves
EPA provides:
bullet all the administrative services overseas.
bullet courses, internship placements, housing, orientation program, and on-going staff support for your students for the duration of the program.
bullet any materials you need to analyze and approve the overseas courses, including detailed course descriptions, syllabi and curriculum vitae of the instructors.
bullet final course grades and internship supervisors’ reports.

Your institution:
bullet provides the academic credit. Most schools will give half a semester’s credit for the internship, with the remaining credit given for the two academic courses.
bullet sets its own institutional guidelines for granting credit to your students for the internship portion of the program.
bullet pays EPA on a per student basis only. There is no annual fee and no commitment to a minimum number of students per annum.

Partnerships – an alternative approach
As an Affiliate, your institution would need to review and accept academic courses, internships models, dates and housing arrangements that have already been established. If you are looking for a more tailored option, then you may prefer an EPA Partnership agreement.

As a Partner, everything can be tailored to your own requirements. Our depth and range of contacts means that we can establish and administer any type of internship program you wish. A typical Partnership Program would involve a group of 15 – 20 students on varied internships across a number of different sectors.

Dates
Programs are held each semester in all sites except Paris where only Fall semester is available. Summer programs are available in London, Cologne and Brussels.
